The reconstruction of the railway top and railway base included pulling out 8 rails, 10 switches in the total length of 3,5 km, improvement of the railway base under the rails 1,2 and 5, building up 1 km of drains, restoration of these rails and 2 switches in the length of about 2 km, including a rail welded rail setting up. The higher speed (initially 75 km/hour, now 100 km/hour with the possibility of another rising up to 120 km/hour, 140 km/hour for Pendolino) is the result. There was also one interest – setting up a test track in one station rail in cooperation with the building faculty ČVUT Praha (Institute of railways). The faculty examines the possibility of use of stabilized light ash from thermal power stations for rising the holding power and protection of earth plain against the frost. | |
