This construction was a part of the first railway corridor connecting Děčín – Praha – Brno – Břeclav.
As for our work, we performed complex supplies of railway substructure and superstructure in the railway station Dlouhá Třebová, construction of platforms and staff crossings and also construction of underground services.

Repairs of the Czech Railways objects and facilities damaged by the flood in administration of SDC České Budějovice in August 2002

The repairs of damaged objects by the flood at the track no. 197 “Vodňany – Volary” in August 2002 began immediately after the flood was over. It involved high capacity of work, quick preparation and proficient organization of the whole work to begin with railway traffic there as quickly as possible.

We worked on a broken stretch of a track with a great number of bridge objects and other constructions of the substructure. It was necessary to deal with land slides which were stabilized by micro piled anchored revetment walls, by underground drainage using drainage boreholes and by over ground drainage including resoiling.

Some track bed treatment of substructure was done. It meant provision of its bearing capacity by maintenance and stabilization with help of supporting walls made of stone blocks. Then the bank treatment of the river Blanice along the track bed followed.

At the end the superstructure was built up using original as well as new materials. Its direction and height parameters were adjusted.






Construction of the railroad track between Ostroměř – Butoves
(km 7,800 – km 9,726)

Construction works on the track line Hradec Králové – Turnov between Ostroměř – Butoves and Butoves – Jičín were performed in three stages.

The renewal of the railway section between km 9,776 and 11,678 was carried out at the end of year 2001. Dismantling of the old track panels (grid) and laying of the new track panels were done by a PKP platelayer. Some materials from corridor constructions were reused and laid there. Then the machine cleaning of the railway bed, packing of sleepers, change of railroad lines by a SDK set and installation of long – welded rails followed. An automatic tamping machine packed the following section to Jičín in the length of 5 km.

In spring 2002 the work continued between km 5,068 and 7,800 and in summer 2003 between km 7,800 and 9,776. For the replacement of the track panels (grid) was used the machine SUM 1000 CS this time. After that, the machine cleaning of the railway bed, packing and installation of the long – welded rails were carried out.

In the railway station Butoves (km 9,232 – 9,776) the first railway track (using some reused superstructure materials) as well as the second track and three switches were repaired. Two new platforms of “SUDOP” type (with the edge in the level of 250 mm above the top of rail) were constructed for the first and second railroad track there. The platform at the railway stop Kovač was also reconstructed (with the edge in the level of 500 mm above the top of rail).

Total reconstruction of bituminous overpasses in km 6,243 and km 7,814 and five country overpasses including the drainage regulation were carried out. Another overpass in km 9,221 was removed and replaced by a pedestrian crossing.

Nowadays this part of railway corridor is made up by the R65 superstructure on SB8 sleepers, welded into a long – welded rail and ready for the allowed speed of 100 km/hour.

This project included the construction of a route segment between Záboří and Přelouč (the first rail corridor) which was realized on a current track bed in major length of the line. Before Přelouč railway station was suggested a shifting of tracks outside the current track bed.

It was an extensive construction which comprised of a complex reconstruction of superstructure, substructure, other constructed facilities, protection facility and electric traction. During all this variety of construction works there were used the most contemporary construction methods as well as technologies. The major part of this project was financed from the ISPA fund.
