The railway station Rosice nad Labem lies on a crucial join of two regional cities Pardubice and Hradec Králové and it is also a branching station for a track to Havlíčkův Brod.

The first stage started with reconstruction of Pardubice´s gridiron where seven new switches including welding into a long welded rail were set up.

Second, more extensive stage, included reconstruction of Hradec Králové – Pardubice gridiron in total of 14 switches with connection and double track crossing which was built from STRAIL rubber blocks. It is worth mentioning putting a prototype of a switch which was the first one of UIC 54 top set in the Czech Republic.

Integral part of both stages was a reconstruction of sliding contact lines and interlocking plant of gridirons.

REALIZATION PERIOD:

TOTAL COSTS:
CZK 61,3 million (EUR 2,04 million)
Optimalization of a route segment between Choceň – Ústí nad Labem, in particular Choceň (excl.) – Brandýs nad Orlicí (excl.), was performed as a part of the first rail corridor construction. Our division participated in two constructed objects:

- substructure Brandýs nad Orlicí – Choceň

- superstructure Brandýs nad Labem – Choceň

Reconstruction of the substructure involved subgrade treatment, setting up surface drain in extremely complicated geologic conditions of rocks (grade 5 and 6) from UCB and UCH blocks. Extensive redevelopment of the subgrade by calcareous-cement stabilization and concrete stabilization was necessary.

For the first time there were used high-strength rails UIC 60 HSH (imported from an Austrian company Voest Alpine) on concrete sleepers SB 91 S/1 with flexible fastening (without a bearing plate) by tension clamps Skl 14. Finally, long-welded rails were laid down.
